Retail binary-options prohibition
FCA rules prohibit firms acting in or from the UK from marketing, distributing or selling binary options to retail consumers. The permanent restriction took effect on 2 April 2019. This is a product-specific rule, not a judgement about every service associated with a brand.

Retail issuance/distribution restriction
ASIC extended its product intervention order banning the issue and distribution of binary options to retail clients until 1 October 2031. The order is specific to the product and retail customer type; ordinary access to an offshore trading website is not evidence of an exception.
