BBH RESEARCH LIBRARY · REVIEWED SOURCES · OCTOBER 2026
Compare published funding rules without confusing promotional minimum deposits with independent withdrawal tests.
Deposits are not the same as withdrawals
A low minimum deposit does not prove that a withdrawal will be approved, completed or received within a promised time. Published timeframes are often provider estimates. BBH does not treat website FAQs as end-to-end funded withdrawal tests.
What to record in a broker funding table
Check the current account currency, minimum deposit, deposit-processing fees, supported payment methods, local availability, third-party providers, identity-verification steps, minimum withdrawal, turnover requirements, bonuses, rejection clauses, disputes and tax questions. Record the effective date and supporting source link for each field.
KYC and privacy caution
Never upload identity documents to an unfamiliar message, Telegram account or unofficial mirror website. Check exactly which legal entity is collecting documents, its privacy notice and official account workflow. Avoid sharing OTPs, passwords or bank login details with support impostors.
Why payment methods vary by region
Payment provider policies, card acceptance, jurisdiction restrictions and user verification may change the instruments offered. We therefore avoid publishing universal “UPI available everywhere” or “instant withdrawal” claims without dated regional evidence.
Resolve the exact payment question
These guides separate the payment records, ownership checks and timing assumptions that are often mixed together.
A displayed deposit minimum, payment logo or successful virtual trade does not establish that a funded withdrawal will arrive on time or without conditions.

Follow the full money path, not only the first deposit
Research should identify the exact party taking the funds, the payment intermediary, deposit currency, conversion method and contractual account operator. The name on a card statement or cryptocurrency wallet may not match the platform brand. Withdrawal methods may differ from deposit methods due to provider terms, region, identity verification or anti-fraud checks. A claim that withdrawals take a specified number of hours needs a source date and the caveat that processing, approval and bank settlement are distinct stages.
Build a reproducible deposit and withdrawal conditions table
A usable checklist records: minimum deposit, minimum withdrawal, account denomination, methods available to the customer's region, provider fee, external processor fee, FX conversion, verification rules, withdrawal-rejection clauses and complaint channel. Separate 'broker states' from 'independently tested'. An amount advertised as zero-commission may still incur foreign exchange or payment-provider charges. Do not publish a flat 'instant withdrawal' badge without dated and representative supporting evidence.
Identity verification and document handling
Providers may require proof of identity, address, beneficial ownership or payment-method control. Those requirements do not prove the provider is properly authorised. Read the privacy notice, data-controller identity, data retention, secure-upload process and support channels before submitting documents. Never send a password, OTP, complete bank-card information or identification images through unofficial chat accounts. The joint CFTC/SEC binary-options advisory describes identity-theft allegations on some unregistered online platforms; treat this as a sector risk, not a verified accusation against every listed provider.
Bonus, turnover and cancellation clauses
Promotions may define wagering or turnover conditions, forfeiture mechanisms, trading restrictions or additional verification steps. Read the version of the promotion terms in force before accepting a bonus. Understand whether an ordinary account can decline a promotion and whether balances can be withdrawn without it. A welcome credit can change the practical withdrawal process, so comparing deposit bonuses is misleading unless the associated clauses are also disclosed. Track dates and governing agreement versions because marketing banners may change without a new public announcement.
What to do if a payment remains unresolved
Keep transaction identifiers, broker account statements, support messages, timestamps, the bank or processor reference, and relevant contract clauses. Do not send more money to anyone promising to release an existing withdrawal or recover alleged profits; such requests can worsen the loss. Use the documented support and complaint path and, where relevant, contact the bank, payment provider or competent authority. The remedies available may depend on the specific entity and jurisdiction and can be limited for unregulated offshore arrangements.
Questions to record before reaching a conclusion
Who is the contractual payment recipient and where is the account held?
What fees and conversion rates apply to both funding and reimbursement?
Are withdrawals conditional on identity verification or prior turnover?
Can an account opt out of promotions and their restrictions?
What official dispute channel and source document govern refusals?
Frequently asked research questions
Does a low minimum deposit mean withdrawals are easy?
No. Deposit minimums and withdrawal approval are different facts that must be researched separately.
Does 'no withdrawal fee' mean the bank or payment service charges nothing?
No. External conversion and payment-processor charges may still apply.
Does a demo account verify withdrawal performance?
No. A virtual balance is not a completed, independently documented funded withdrawal.
Primary references and source limitations
Official rules have jurisdiction and product limits. A broker's own asset list documents a provider claim, not independent execution verification.
